The Datacard® 450 card
personalization system lets you produce high-quality,
personalized cards—such as credit, debit, ATM and
retail cards—in a fast, single-pass operation. It
gives you the flexibility to start with embossing
characters and then add other features such as color
topping, encoded magnetic stripes, indent printing and
personalized smart card chips—as you need them.
High-volume issuance in a
desktop system
This rugged, reliably designed
system personalizes up to 420 standard financial
format (40 character embossed) cards per hour, so it
offers the speed and productivity of Datacard's large,
fully integrated card issuance systems; yet, it fits
neatly on almost any desktop.
Easy to operate
Even first-time users will find
the Datacard 450 extremely simple to operate. An
easy-to-understand LCD panel provides operators with
helpful prompts throughout the issuance process. Plus,
the areas that operators access most — such as the
card loading tray, output tray and topping foil
cassette — are easily accessible. That means operators
spend less time replenishing supplies and handling
cards.

As payment processing and data
collection systems become more sophisticated, you will
need additional technologies to stay competitive. The
Datacard 450 offers a flexible, modular design that
lets you start with basic embossing and then add new
capabilities as you need them.
Magnetic stripe encoding
This module lets you encode high-
or low-coercivity magnetic stripes on either side of a
card.
Indent printing
For additional security you can
add an indent printing module, which affords the
flexibility to indent on the front or back of cards.
Smart card personalization
Smart cards are quickly becoming a
popular payment and data collection alternative. The
Datacard 450 allows you to make the transition easily
by adding a smart card personalization module.
