Metropolitan Data Solutions is a proud Dealer of Salamander Technologies family of Accountability Solutions.

Salamander Technologies is the leading supplier of accountability solutions in the USA with over 200 automated systems installed in just four years. Prominent customers include the United States Capital Police, Dallas Ft. Worth International Airport, City of Richmond, Dept. of Defense Fire Training Academy, Redstone Arsenal, and State of Michigan USAR, Regional Response Team Network and State Police Hazardous Material Training Center.

The goal of their TRAX™ family is simple:  unite our country's emergency services with interoperable, NIMS compatible systems for tracking all responders, volunteers, and victims at an incident.  Tracking information is managed on-scene to insure accountability, safety, and site access control and is made available to off-scene facilities for wide-area resource management during a public safety or public health emergency.

Fire ground accountability is not optional. Issues of life-safety, incident command and control, and leadership liability make tracking who is on-scene with what qualifications, when they arrive/depart and where they are located of utmost importance. NIMS compatible accountability is the call: fireTRAX® Accountability is the answer, easy as 1, 2, 3.

fireTRAX® meets the requirements of the Dept. of HLS 2005 Authorized Equipment List (AEL): Item 4.4 - Systems, Operations Area Personnel Tracking and Accountability.

Rapid and accurate tracking of victims of a mass casualty incident or disaster is essential. Incident and medical branch managers must uniquely identify each victim, assign a triage status and track victims through treatment and transport with all activities time & date stamped. This information must be available on-scene for incident management, off-scene for trauma center preparedness, and after-incident for full accountability and a chain-of-custody.

medTRAX meets this challenge with a simple, automated system featuring bar-coded triage tags, handheld computers to capture data, a wireless LAN to consolidate victim data, and internet access to make incident data available to downstream facilities to prepare for incoming casualties. A “transport label” travels with the victim to provide survivable data and a chain-of-custody. Only medTRAX tracks both victims and responders at site.

medTRAX meets the requirements of the Dept. of HLS 2005 Authorized Equipment List (AEL): Item 4.4 - Systems, Operations Area Personnel Tracking and Accountability.

During a mass incident or disaster, your site can become overwhelmed with responders, volunteers, and civilians--invited or not. A top priority is establishing site security and access control so you can screen, check-in and track all personnel. rapidTAG strips data from state driver’s licenses to quickly tag all responders with incident-specific badges - complete with site permissions, expiration date, and a fireTRAX® compatible barcode for electronic accountability.

rapidTAG meets the requirements of the Dept. of HLS 2005 Authorized Equipment List (AEL): Item 4.11 - Application Program, Credentialing, Software application and associated hardware for creating site/event credential badges.
